Glad I finally sprung for the Wi-Fi module.

Fantastic Remote Control for Jacuzzi

This thing freaking rocks! It's expensive but it works and I can now control my jacuzzi temperature, range, filtration, and ready/rest mode remotely over the internet! So great! Getting it setup to the WIFI was a total pain - just because of very poor instructions. Once connected, it has worked great. Installation of the unit itself was a piece of cake - take off the side panel of your jacuzzi, open the cover to the control panel, plug it into J45 or J33 and nail it to the side of the unit. - easy!

Balboa Wi-Fi module in MasterSpa

Hooked it up no problems. Took more then a few tries to get it on my WiFi. Had to stand next to the spa a few times to sync with my phone. Then the cable internet when goofy from Xfinity so had to reboot the modem a few times. Not spa cares fault. Then got it all talking. Installed app on phone & works good now. No more cold tub when I want to use it. I heat it up from my phone or lower temp when away from home it I forget to put it in vac mode. Yes worth the cost.

Amazing purchase

I have a 2020 Master Spa 8.2. Setting up this device was a breeze. There was actually a dedicated cable for this device that was already waiting outside of the Balboa heater case.Literally had to connect one cable. The rest was through the app in a few mins. I wish I did it sooner. The dealer didn’t offer this as an option. I’m glad I did it myself though. I could easily see someone overcharging me to do this idiot proof task. Shipping was very fast too. I’m very satisfied. Thank you. One other note, for my situation, I can use this device and the app exclusively. The topside controller got water in it and I’m waiting for the warranty repair. This device saved me months of downtime.

Good module. Right price

Best price I could find. Easy to install especially if you want the video. The app is less desirable and a bit finicky. Set up on the app could be more easily explained. Overall I am happy and everything works even with my router being a great distance away.

So far so good unit super simple to setup no drilling required. 5 screws and that's it. I used the bread tie that came with the cable to hang the module under the tub. The only complaint i have is the app it works but their could have been more love put into it so don't expect anything fancy. It's a little confusing to setup first connect to the tub wifi then your house wifi to finish. Look for the little down triangle for the wifi networks that kicked my butt. anyway thats all i got it works. install 4-13-2023

This item will not connect to the Internet and there is no Tech support number available to call. If you are having a problem, they refer you to You Tube Tutorials, which do not resolve this problem.

Connection Made

Physical Connection is easy enough. First verified that Tub supported the wifi module, installation to circuit board quick and easy. Connection to WiFi was at first a struggle - no matter how many times WiFi credentials were entered, device would not connect. Called support and left a VM. While waiting for a return call, I continued to troubleshoot - I used the routers WPS connection option and the WiFi module was found. (Support did return call while I was away from my phone) Ability to control the tub from within the house is GREAT! all working as advertised - gave 4 star instead of 5 only due to the amount of time attempting to connect the module to WiFi.

Purchased this as an after-market add-on for my Jacuzzi/Hydropool swim spa. Installation and set up was very easy based on manufacturer's instructions and videos. Provides the ability to monitor and control the spa from anywhere.

Worth the money

Upgraded from a VS510 to a BP7 and paid the extra for the Wi-Fi module. With the BP7 being less expensive, it made the $100 dollars or so total additional for the Wi-Fi capabilities over the VS a no brainer. Took a minute to figure out the set-up of the app, but loving it so far!

Nice product! Be patient when you program it for your wireless. Depending on your router they have to reboot several times. It works as advertised.

As expected

Installed this in about an hour and it works great! Had to clear the insulation off the plug with a knife carefully, plugged it in and mounted it to a 2x4 inside. that took 20 minutes. The next 40 were getting the app to work. Don't give up!

Wireless issues

The device seems to be slow reacting to the app. My spa is about 30fl feet from the router. Sometimes the app won't connect to the spa, so I have to take the panel off the spa and reset it which is a pain. But other than that when it works it's wonderful. When you clean your tub you also have to reset it and reprogram it. Only bad things I see here

Easy control

Great improvement over the tub-side controller. Easy to install. Nice that the splitter cable is included. Expensive, but worth it for easier control and ability to change temp from inside the house on a cold day. I like the local connect option, but it is unstable. Wish you could disable internet access. Security seems like an afterthought. The temp control widget is cute, but the graphic and temp setting often do not match.

2018 Clearwater Spas Monaco is now online!

I bought this module to allow me to connect my 2018 model year Clearwater Spas Monaco series to the cloud so that I could set the temperature prior to coming home. The module was easy to set up and works as intended. The instructions for the app and configuration were out of date and a trip to the Balboa Water Group YouTube page cleared that up. Don't go by the paper instructions and just go straight to their YouTube page, you will be done in minutes.

Remote Control with WIFI Module

Easy to install but tricky to get setup properly. It took me a couple of times to work through the phone app instructions to get the module connected. I now have full control over the tub and sound system from my phone.

WiFi unit works well and fast delivery.

"The WiFi unit works great and I can control my hot tub from anywhere. Additionally, it makes things like the filter cycle easy to configure rather than the cryptic methods on the hot tub panel. This does cost a lot compared to any other WiFi equipment but I’m happy with my purchase. Delivery was fast and ordering was easy as well. This is the best price I found on this unit."
