VGB Suction Assembly 3 3/4" Cover, 1-1/2" Slip x 2" Spig x 1/2" Slip Vacuum Break 124 GPM
Requires to 2-1/2" mounting hole.
Spig = 2" fitting such as a ninty or coupling will glue over this fitting.
The 1/2" slip port requires a 1/2" pvc pipe or tubing to be extended above the water level. Capping off this port will no longer be within VGB compliance.
The 211 GPM and the 124 GPM suction fitting that meets the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act of 2007. The patented 211 GPM flow rated suction fitting has received UL approval, while the 124 GPM suction is IAPMO listed with a flow rating of 124 GPM. The extraordinary rating on both suctions is higher than any other equivalent sized suction on the market prior to the VGB legislation.
The large 211 GPM suction is about 5 inches in diameter and the new 124 GPM is about 3 3/4 inches in diameter. The smaller size fits the smaller recesses by reducing the need to modify any molds in order to make the larger suction fit. The smaller hole has a size of 2 3/8 inches with a flat gasket.
The 211 GPM suction product was designed by our engineering staff with an intermediary piece that connects to 3/4 ID tubing, while the smaller 124 GPM suction product connects to 3/8 ID tubing. Both suction products rise up under the lip of the spa. When the suction cover is obstructed air is pulled through the 3/4 ID tubing (211 GPM) or 3/8 ID tubing (124 GPM), cavitating the pump so it loses prime and water flow is minimized.
The 211 GPM assembly consists of the suction cover, the wall fitting, the nut, and the adaptor. Optional use of a gasket and compensating ring. The 124 GPM consists of the suction cover, the wall fitting and the adaptor.
