It is very important that you do not order a circuit board based on looks, several boards look alike but have different software or chips. It is the chip that drives the board and gives it its unique functions. To correctly identify a circuit board the chip number should be used to identify it. It can be found on a white sticker near the center of the circuit board. Another number that is helpful in identifying a Balboa Water Group circuit board is the five digit number found on most boards (5****).

I bought this board to replace a fried board in my Thermospa Concord Deluxe 2005 hot tub. Thermospa plays games with its parts to make it difficult to determine what the OEM replacement is. After doing a lot of research I determined that this is the correct replacement. This board has the exact same part number as the original Thermospa board, but the controller chip is different. So I had to use the dip switches to manually set the functions to match the programming in the original thermospa board. The OEM Balboa board doesn't come with instructions so you have to find the correct pdf on the balboa web site to figure out the dip switch settings. Once the dip switches were set properly this board worked perfectly. It took me the better part of a day to remove the original board, replace it, and fiddle with the dip switches. Make thorough notes of connection locations before removing the original board!!
