Sundance - Low Flow Heater (internal High-Limit Thermo Disc Switch and Wiring)

This Low Flow Heater is Manufactured by Balboa and is Found on Various Sundance Brand Hot Tub Models.

**This is a Genuine OEM Replacement Heater Assembly.**

Important Note:

This heater now comes with a smaller dry well where the High Limit Sensor is installed. Your existing High Limit Sensor will not fit in.
You must replace it with High Limit Sensor 6600-168 (Sold Separately) for it to work with this heater.

Note:

If the heater you are replacing is Prior to April 2007 you will need to replace the Hi-Limit Sensor (6600-168), the sensor bulb is too large to fit in the new heater dry well.
Sundance® Smart Heaters manufactured from 01/01/2000 thru 06/12/2000 utilized a small circuit board inside the heater. Since 06/12/2000 this board is no longer needed. Replacement heater will replace this version.
When installing this heater assembly, make sure there is adequate water flow through the heater before wiring it up. The heater coming on before there is sufficient water flow through the heater is called a "Dry Fire" and will compromise the internal heating element - if this happens it is not covered under warranty.

Works great so far two week's since install. The only problem I had installing was thermostat hole wasn't big enough for thermostat. But drilled it out to size.

Works great

Easy installation for a DIY'er. I did have to remove a sensor from my old unit and transfer to this one. A web search will show you step by step videos on installation. Took me less that 20 min.

Sundance spa heater unit

It’s a beautiful thing when you buy something and it’s a perfect fit it is installed within five minutes and your hot tub is back up and running I highly recommend this part to anyone who needs a new heat unit comes with everything needed not to mention extra wiring in case yours is different five stars

Spa heater for sundance hot tube.

The spa heater was a direct replacement for my old one, Installation was a bit tricky since I had to use the supplied adapter wires to fit the connections on my hot tub, trying to keep the wires inside the heater core while securing the heater to the side of my control box, but got the heater on. There should be some type of clamps to hold the wires inside the heater while installing it. Overall it works!
