Note: Old style board relays were exposed showing the yellow paper on the coil, new style board uses the same relays except now they are sealed. The board wires exactly the same.

It is very important that you do not order a circuit board based on looks, several boards look alike but have different software or chips. It is the chip that drives the board and gives it its unique functions. To correctly identify a circuit board the chip number should be used to identify it. It can be found on a white sticker near the center of the circuit board. Another number that is helpful in identifying a Balboa Water Group circuit board is the five digit number found on most boards (5****).

Leisure Bay spas

I would label every wire to every relay before I start. Don't rely just on pictures. The motherboard worked awesome. Would definitely purchase again if I had a problem. Shipping was fast and I was back up and running in a week. Thank you again.

unit was easy to swap out with the old. Insects has destroyed the old one with open relays. The new G2 board was better constructed! it took less than 30 minutes (I am not electrician). Everything worked like new! Awesome product! A local SPA company wanted to charge me $900 and use their board which would have limited the functions and I would have had to use their control pad! Anyway, fantastic board, super well constructed , far better than original!!!!! Well worth every $$! NOTE: One of the faults/simptoms that started with the original board was the pumps were "surging" high and low, and none of the functions of the control pad were available, the pad was flashing. Also, one of the relays was sparking on and off. I attempted to clean the board with electronic cleaner but it was frutless.

Enjoying my hot tub again

"I had an electrician install the circuit board which was advertised where the wire connections were the same. The electrician commented that the new board was much better than the original board, but was easy to install since the connections were the same. Once installed we started the hot tub and it has been running like a top for 3 days."

Just what I needed.

"This board was an exact replacement for my Liesure Bay G2 spa, and worked flawlessly. Be sure to photo and note (and add wire labels) to make sure you connect properly. Also, that small circuit board above the main board pretty much has to come out to make the swap; squeeze the tips of the plastic mounts with needle-nosed pliers, and pop it off one by one."
