The Balboa Ultimax Pump is very common and can be found in many OEM spas and hot tubs. Rated at 4.0 / 3.0HP, this pump is often used for both Circulation / Heating (Low Speed), as well as Therapy Jets (High Speed.)

**This pump can be labeled as both 4.0 and 3.0 Horsepower. To properly match your existing, be sure to match amp rating and voltage. If your current amp rating (high speed) is between 11-13 amps, this is the correct match.**

My hot tub went down well before the holidays. My local dealer was dragging his feet to get me a price on a replacement pump and motor. He finally told me $500 and even more to install it. He said I'd get 90 day warranty if he installed it and nothing if I installed it I went to SpaCare and found one with the help of friendly online staff that was en exact replacement with 1 year warranty brand new in the box for a fraction of the price. I'm rebuilding my entire 12 year old tub with SpaCare parts.

Replacement pump

Pump works great. I had initially followed the electrical hookups diagram on the pump, but it turned out that for my tub, red/black which is high/low for a 2 stage pump needed to be inverted. Wasn't a problem, just turned it on and it was obviously wrong, so I killed the power and switched em. Pump works great. Tub is holding constant temp. Found the customer service to be extremely helpful, they'd get back to me quickly, even on the weekend, which was great cuz it was -10°F in Colorado and I really needed to get the pump in.

Fit the old slot in my Mira tub perfectly and works like a charm...Had to reposition the discharge port. Which was easy. And it dropped right in...Did have to redo the base a bit but no problem there either...

Hot Tub Owner

After trying to get local vendors to visit, diagnose and fix our hot tub, with very little success, I took matters into my own hands and, thankfully, found Spacare! Managed to locate the appropriate replacement pump and had it in hand within 5 days of my order... during the peak Christmas delivery season.
